Hi. Before this Monday ends (at least here in Spain) I bring my weekly inspiration. Her name is Tasnim Ahmed, she lives in United Stated and her personal blog is called Cards & Bookmarks. She is half of Altenew team, a new stamp company.
Descubrí a Tasnim en las clases online Online Card Classes, ella era profesora colaboradora. Me encantó su técnica, su sencillez (como si lo que hiciera fuera lo más normal del mundo) y que todo lo que hace, incluidos los sellos de Altenew, tienen un aire diferente, quizás influenciado por sus orígenes asiáticos.
I found her at the Online Card Classes. I loved her technique, her naturalness (as if all what she does is the most normal thing in the world) and that all what she does, including Altenew stamps, has a different style, maybe influenced by her asian origin.
Su primera tarjeta que quiero destacar es una elaborada con una técnica de acuarela que, en mi opinión, facilita mucho conseguir el efecto deseado utilizando este material (aunque en este caso ella usa Distress Inks, puede ser aplicada con acuarela normal). Os dejo la tarjeta y el vídeo en el que lo explica (pincha en cada imagen para ir a su post correspondiente).
The first card of her that I want to highlight is made with a watercolor technique that, in my opinion, makes easier to get the watercolor look that we look for (she uses Distress Inks but it can be applied with any watercolor medium). Y estas son las dos tarjetas que he realizado siguiendo su inspiración. Las tintas Distress utilizadas son Shaded Lilac, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers y Broken China. Los sellos están estampados con Antique Linen.
And these are the two card that I made following her inspiration. I used Distress Inks: Shaded Lilac, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers and Broken China. I stamped the images with Antique Linen.
Creo que es una cardmaker a tener en cuenta, sobre todo porque se sale de la norma, el estilo es diferente y rompe esquemas. Lo cual es clave para que te inspire. Otras tarjetas suyas que me encantan (lo sé, tiene un estilo muy clean&simple y quizás por eso me gusta tanto ;) ):
I think she is a cardmaker to keep in mind, specially because she thinks out of the box, her style is different and break the rules, what is a key to inspire you. Another card that I love (I know they are very CAS and maybe that´s the reason for me to love them ;) ):
