Hi. As you probably know, I do cardmaking and some mixed media projects from time to time. I feel like exploring more that this new year because it makes me feel free (and in art there is no limits, isn´t?). So I decided to start a new art journal. We´ll check at the end of the year what happened.
Para empezar con buen pie me animé con la portada al ver el reto mensual de Faber Castell. Y aquí lo tenéis.
To have a good start, I felt really inspired by the January challenge from Faber Castell. And here it is.
A continuación, el proceso. Comencé con un cuaderno de arte de Tiger y le di dos capas de gesso blanco. También a unas piezas de cartón y a las letras (Corrugated kraft alphas Jillibean Soup).
Now, you can check the process. I started with an art journal from a local store and I added two coats of gesso. I did as well some embellisments and letters (Corrugated kraft alphas Jillibean Soup).
Apliqué todos los gelatos (Banana, Acqua, Blood orange, Snow cone, Mango, Margarita mix y Raspberry). Cuando estaba seco, utilicé la plantilla Fondo 011 rombos – damero de Todo Stencil con embossing paste crackle de Dreamweaver. Y añadí los elementos decorativos y el mensaje, que los había cubierto de pintura acrílica negra.
I applied all the gelatos that I wanted (Banana, Acqua, Blood orange, Snow cone, Mango, Margarita mix and Raspberry). When it was dried, I added crackle embossing paste by Dreamweaver using the stencil 011 damero by Todo Stencil. I glued the embellishments and the letters, which were covered with black acrylic paint.
Me ha gustado mucho el resultado. Seguro que me anima para llenar el cuaderno de creatividad. Fijaros en los detalles del efecto craquelado. Me encanta.
